The home employs:

• 1 Manager - RNMH, NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management, NVQ Assessor, Qualified Trainer

(40 years experience working in healthcare setting, 31 years experience in care work with elderly mentally ill. Manager of Plas Derwen Nursing Home for 10 years).

• 1 Deputy Manager - RNMH, NVQ Level 5  in Health and Social Care Management.

(33 years in healthcare setting and has been a staff of Plas Derwen Nursing Home for 31 years).

• 1 Administrator

• 7 Staff Nurses ( RNMH’s and RGN’s – permanent and bank staff)

•18 Health Care Assistants, 7 with NVQ 3, 4 with NVQ-2 and 5 working towards

• 1 Activity Organiser

• 4 Domestic/Housekeepers (full time and part time)

•  2 Kitchen Staff

• 1 Maintenance/Gardener

There are a total of five dementia champions across qualified and health care assistants 

Staff are selected for their reliability, integrity, skill, friendliness and professionalism. They are carefully screened; formal interviews,  references and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks are always carried out.
